The Blue Food Assessment

Video production, presentation content and Twitter threads

Designing and delivering strategic content for the Blue Food Assessment.

The Blue Food Assessment (BFA) is an international joint initiative that brings together over 100 scientists from more than 25 institutions. This interdisciplinary team supports decision-makers in evaluating trade-offs and implementing solutions to build healthy, equitable and sustainable food systems.

I’ve worked with the lead partners’ three communications teams for six months to design and deliver strategic content to launch the BFA, including the Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University, Stanford University and EAT.

Content creation for the Blue Food Assessment

I project managed the design and delivery of key outputs including:

  • Seven short videos to promote the launch of new papers being published (see below).

  • Script and visual direction for the BFA Lecture delivered by the project leads, Beatrice Crona Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University, Royal Swedish Academy of and Roz Naylor Stanford Center on Food Security and the Environment (see below).

  • Hero presentation to be used by researchers across the project.

  • Twitter threads for the launch of new papers (see one example here and more below).

  • Support in writing content for core web pages.

This is one of the seven videos I created in collaboration with the project’s design agency and key academics to promote key findings from BFA papers.

This is another example of a video created for promoting new papers. Each video was optimised for use on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

This BFA Launch Lecture was watched live online by 700 viewers. I worked with lead academics to write the script and provide visual direction for the agency.
