Science communications to prevent health risks in coastal waters

Communications Manager

I’m the Communications Manager for BlueAdapt, a research project funded by Horizon Europe and UKRI. This vital work is helping us to understand how climate change can impact pathogens and antimicrobial drug-resistant bacteria in coastal waters. A large project, BlueAdapt spans 8 countries and 11 partners.

My aim is to make this complicated research as accessible as possible to maximise its impact. I am doing this through harnessing the power of storytelling to highlight the people and places leading the work and to be most affected by the risks.

Horizon Europe’s Climate and Health Cluster

I am also part of the communications working group for Horizon Europe’s Climate and Health Cluster, a collaboration between six projects working towards building resilience in response to climate change and health risks.
