Science communications

Seas, Oceans & Public Health in Europe (SOPHIE) is a pan-European research project funded by Horizon 2020. They bring marine, environmental and health experts together to create a research roadmap to protect oceans and human health.

I helped them deliver an international online webinar and launch the project’s flagship Strategic Research Agenda.

“Kerri has quickly made herself a valued and indispensable member of the project. She has developed great working relationships will all members of the team and fostered open and effective communication between international partners.” - ALEX SMALLEY | COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER | SOPHIE Project

Online conference

I worked with the research team to design and deliver speaker presentations, a conference agenda and an online promotion for a two-day webinar using Zoom. The outcome was very successful:

>> 371 people registered from 37 countries
>> 245 people attended

>>
958 webinar website page views
>> 480% increase in Twitter profile views

Communications toolkit

I created an online downloadable communications toolkit for the general public to access. The toolkit included social media messages, key messages, images, references and guidelines. The Communications Toolkit was used widely by the organisations and their experts and viewed 500 times.

If you would like support to communicate your content effectively online, please get in touch.
