Cornwall Waste Solutions (CWS), is a small dedicated team of waste management experts who serve medium to large businesses across the South West of England.

After meeting Shane, CWS’ Director at Cornwall Business Fair, I discovered that the team needed help to strengthen their brand, build their online presence and share their business news and successes with their customers.

Brand and content strategy

Competitor analysis

I provided a summary of CWS’ main competitors in the market, including a review of what services they provide, how they rank on Google and what social media channels they use. This highlighted opportunities and allowed me to make strategic recommendations of where to focus SEO content for online conversions.

Audience personas and sales cycle messaging

During a three-hour kick-off session with the team, I uncovered who their current, past and dream clients are. I also identified what type of people they usually engage with (job titles/locations/seniority) and what problems and solutions they provide to their customers. Next, I produced a visual representation of who their potential target audiences are and why. This included recommendations about how to connect with people and what messaging to use throughout their customer journey.

Feedback survey to customers

I helped the team to prepare and disseminate an end of year feedback survey for their customers. The responses were incredibly positive and constructive, helping to inform future content plans and services.

Content marketing and website refresh

Using all the information gained from the above stages, I delivered a thorough marketing strategy and content plan, tailored to help them meet their business objectives. I met with the team to talk it through in detail before putting actions into place.

Using keywords and phrases, website content was updated to improve user experience and search engine rankings. I’ve also provided an analysis of monthly Google Analytics reports looking for opportunities to improve moving forward.

Online copywriting

I am now working with the team to deliver the content marketing strategy. This is focused on building their brand recognition, engaging with their customers and expanding their services across the South West.
